The 1900 Carousel and its treats, a trip back to childhood

It's in Colmar that you're invited to relive your childhood with its 1900 Carousel.

If you're visiting our beautiful city of Colmar, take a journey back in time and discover the 1900 Carousel, located on Place Rapp in the south-eastern part of the Champ de Mars park.

With its hand-painted ceilings and twisted copper poles, the 1900 Carousel is the perfect setting for a magical family moment. All the paintings around the ride pay tribute to the city of Colmar, featuring rue des Marchands, the Place Rapp fountain, the Unterlinden Museum, and Little Venice.

Run by the Dehondt family, it's one of the few carousels that shelters its guests in any weather, summer or winter, thanks to its unique circular gallery.

Carousel prices are €5 for 5 rides, €8 for 10 rides and €10 for 15 rides.

It is open daily from 2pm to 7pm except Tuesdays, and 7 days a week during school holidays and the Christmas market period.

Whether you come as a family or with friends, some can spin on the carousel while the more food-loving among you enjoy sweet or savoury treats (crêpes, waffles, ice cream, sweets, drinks, etc.) under the shaded terrace of Les Délices du Carrousel, with its many years of expertise.

These treats can be enjoyed from Wednesday to Monday, 11am to 7pm (also closed on Tuesdays), and 7 days a week during school holidays and Christmas markets.

In December or during the Christmas market period, you can also enjoy their "Christmas Caterpillar" ride, set up in the same Champ de Mars park.
